Going to Church

I’ve been writing lately about almost anything that could come across my mind and remember the things that I used to do and really had fun. The best moments are the ones that I took pictures with. It was Sunday when my friend and I at the spur of the moment decided to go Danao Church to take photos. It was breathtaking, there’s is just something with historic/old churches that fascinates me. Maybe it is the big stones (marble?), the stained glass art or maybe for just the fact that it has seen the world for more or less three hundred years!

Sock Flip

Anyhow, after we took enough photos, we decided to take the bus ride back to Cebu. On our way to the street we came across a wharf under construction where there were people fishing and some kids swimming and diving. It was a hot sunny day so everyone’s going out and I decided that I drop by to take a couple of snaps at the scene. Everyone is calling out ‘Kodaki ko noy’ (take my picture) when I arrived. I probably would have said the same while I was at my age, yeah I wish a had a photo doing a back flip when I was young so I can show my grand kids when I grow old how I was before. I would say that the scene was a bit nostalgic as I used to play myself in the beach when I was a kid every summer while my mom was taking her masters in Davao. I could do back flips myself too but that would have had really looked awful had I joined (which I really was so tempted to do had I not realized that I will be riding public transport on the way back home) them with my 170 + lb body making a big splash on the water. Haha.

Well, at least I got pictures to keep. *grins*
